Adrianus Gothardi Schnater

I have been working as an art teacher for Fine Arts, Crafts, Art history and Art&Culture for about 30 years in the Netherlands.
Also had a company for desktop publishing and design for several years in the Netherlands.
Lived for some time in the people’s republic of China as a free artist and did some teaching there at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing.
I came in December 2018 to Portugal to live in Viseu.
Created my own studio (ART42) in Viseu where I am working now as a free artist together with my Portuguese life partner Margareth Lacerda.

1978/1979 University of professional education, Rijks Pedagogische Academie, to become a teacher on a primary school. After that I graduated in 1984 at 'Academie Minerva', an academy of fine arts, where I did an MA-degree to become 'Teacher of Fine Arts' at the highest level of the education system in The Netherlands.

When I was living in Zwolle, where I was teaching at the University of professional education 'Windesheim', I was a member of the local Artist Community and acted in several group exhibitions.
Now, living in Portugal, I had my first exhibition in September 2019, in Viseu, together with my life partner and fellow artist Margareth Lacerda, with which I share our studio 'ART42' and exhibition space 'LIGHTSPACE'.
