Monika Wright

Monika Wright is an award winning Canadian Artist, whose work is included in private and corporate collections worldwide, including in Canada, the USA, South America and Europe. Working from her home studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she is represented by galleries in several Canadian provinces.

Monika has received numerous awards, including the Mary Pratt Crystal Award, and has been published in International Women Celebrate, in the 50th Anniversary Edition of Enroute Magazine, in Exposure, Echoes of Elizabeth Bishop, CBC Sharing the View Calendar and Arts Illustrated Magazine.

Art has the power to be transformative, to rearrange our vision of the world and create bridges to connect us, to lead us to a greater understanding of the world we share, and those we share it with.

With intuitive movements and marks, I create organic shapes that symbolize nature’s powerful ability to unite us. Art making is my way to connect to the creative force of the subconscious. Universal symbols of unity, wholeness and infinity conjure our great human potential.
