Bobo Charlie

In the 70', Charlie study graphical art at the EPDI and also at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts de Paris. The Pop Art and the Anglo-Saxon culture fascinated him. At the beginning, Charlie did illustrations for magazines, newspapers and publishers during 15 years. He collabored with many differents clients such as : Biba, Lui, Playboy, l'Etudiant, le Nouvel Observateur, l'Expansion, l'Evénement du Jeudi, le Monde ....he also made many cover books for Editions Gallimard, Jean Claude Lattès, J'ai Lu, Solar, Le Seuil, Presses de la Cité, he worked from time to time with The Image Bank and Ikea.

During the same period, Charlie never stoped painting. Since 1990, he painted a substantial number of still life "pigments". The Nouvelles Images Editions published and spread many reproductions of his paintings, since 2000 until now.

Charlie has taught illustration and decorative painting since 1990 at the MJM Graphic Design in Paris.

First exhibition was in 1981 at the J Walter Thomson Paris followed by others at the Mairie de Neuilly in 1988, Galerie Guy Lecomte in 1994, Galerie Art Présent in1998 ,Grand Marché de l’Art - la Défense in 1999, Galerie Françoise Guillou in 1999, Galerie ADAC in 2000 and 2003, Galerie Mark Hachem in 2005 in Paris also at the International Art Fair +Design in New York in 2005, Galerie Béranger in Tours in 2007.Galerie Orenda Paris 2012

In 1999, obtained the Chardin Price “Lefranc Bourgeois”during a collective exhibition at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris.
