Ronald Bossert

My professional career provided me with the opportunity to live and work across many locations around the globe, which allowed me to experience diverse cultures firsthand. During my travels, I took in countless historical sites, churches, and museums. Along the way, I was constantly inspired by the diverse colors, unique cultures, and compelling stories each place I visited presented. I’ve always had a deep passion for art, which I now combine with the inspiration I’ve acquired through my life and experiences to share my artwork with the world.

I paint under the name "Figlio", which is my mother's maiden name. Using this name allows me to establish my own distinct identity as an artist, separate from my wife, Nancy Bossert, who is also an artist. This distinction enables us to each pursue our unique creative visions without overlap.

The inclusion of personal elements like my eyeglasses adds a touch of intimacy and whimsy to my paintings. The primitive quality and naive appearance of these paintings evoke a sense of simplicity and spontaneity, which can be quite captivating. By embracing his style, I can to distill the essence of everyday objects and imbue them with a sense of freedom and playfulness.
