Marie Claire Db

Marie Claire db is a contemporary artist based in Rome, Italy.

Her work begins with the female figure and gradually moves away from traditional portraiture. Faces and bodies are reduced, interrupted or partially erased, while areas of abstraction and empty space become part of the image.

Her practice centers on acrylic painting, combining layered surfaces, erasure and textural interventions. She often revisits and transforms the image throughout the process. Some elements remain precise, while others are covered, scraped back or allowed to disappear.

This process has become central to her work and to her ongoing exploration of identity, presence and transformation.
