Mary Bobson

My name is Mary Bobson (Maria Boborenko).
I was born in 1975 and live in Stavropol, Russia. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I graduated from the Art School and the College of Technology and Design at the Leonov Technological University in Moscow. Originally, I wanted to further study and make my career in art. However, during the difficult transition times in the 90s, I had to change the direction of my professional development and ended up with a Doctorate in Economics. For more than 20 years I’d been working as a chief financier at the local branch of Gazprom.
Nevertheless, I found time to be constantly engaged in design and decoration of interi-ors, including creating original wall coverings, pieces of furniture, vases and lamps. Af-ter I’d given birth to my second son at 43, a channel of new artistic vision opened inside me and I changed my life to became a full-fledged artist.
Thus, I started a new circle of love for art and returned to my destiny.
