Marcel Speet

Marcel Speet (Netherlands, 1951) is a contemporary artist working in painting, works on paper, assemblage, installation and photography. His practice focuses on how visual structures emerge through material choice, colour relationships and spatial organisation. Through layering, friction and continuous adjustment, each work develops as a coherent configuration with its own presence.

Rather than describing external subjects, the work operates through internal relationships between surface, line and colour. This approach defines his practice as a whole, where structure is not fixed in advance but arises through process, material decisions and continuous adjustment.

Marcel Speet lives and works in France, near Bordeaux.
