Sandra Bresin

Sin is the pseudonym that I chose: Sin is the abbreviation of Sinusoide and it is also the "ending" of my surname. I am fascinated by this line, as its undulating pattern symbolizes the ongoing creation. In fact, the line of the sinusoid, which descends and rises tirelessly, in an endless change, resembles me. I also experimented with various creative activities: I worked for many years in the fashion sector as a model maker, I studied contemporary art at the University and in the meantime I took lessons in painting techniques privately.
Amplitude and pulsation, which are characteristic of the sinusoid, are words that fascinate me a lot, they also make me think about the properties of colors that can approach or move away, give a sense of infinity and at the same time vibrate and palpitate causing our emotions. In the same way I choose colors for their chromatic and sensorial qualities.
I reproduce images that arouse an emotion in me, and simultaneously ignite my imagination, I often mix realism and abstraction.
I dedicate myself to the creation of tapestries created with scissors, thread and color, I create waves that come out of the canvas and "move" with the viewer.
