Clare Painting

Dacey Dia Villarreal was born in Ripon, Wisconsin where she obtained her BFA in Art Education, from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She completed her MFA in Painting at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco in 2011. Villarreal has been a dedicated teacher since 1999, teaching drawing, painting, and graphic arts at the high school level. Villarreal was an adjunct professor at Taft College, where she taught Drawing and Composition, Painting, and Introduction to Art appreciation. Villarreal left the community college to pursue her desire to be an established artist. In the past few years, Villarreal has started to emerge on the art scene in Bakersfield, California, where she has exhibited in group and solo shows at the Bakersfield Art Center, The Foundry, The Metro, Taft Collage, Bakersfield Collage, and Bakersfield Museum of Art.
