Michele Schoonackers

A little bit about me,



I am a a self taught artist born in and currently residing in Enschede, the Netherlands.

After a long journey of dabbling in various forms of art and media (music, photography, illustration and graphic design to name a few)

I landed on abstract, minimal painting as I became interested in telling a story using very little attributes.



My work can sometimes be extremely minimal and simple, or more complex, linear and mathematic.
Whatever the piece calls for, I go with.

Color is a huge part of my work as it allows one to experience various emotions or memories.



Influences have been the works of Hilma Af Klint, Frank Lloyd Wright and the awe inspiring work of architect and designer Zaha Hadid.

I'm always inspired by our natural world and the mathematical patterns that can be found there.

My goal is to create work that can convey a feeling or mood.
