Clare O'Connor

Visual Artist

Clare O'Connor graduated from IADT, Dublin in 2009 with a BA in Visual Arts Practice. Originally a graphic designer for a number of years, she returned to university and specialized in painting and printmaking. Since graduation she has exhibited in Dublin, Berlin & London and gained various experience within the arts. Her work is concerned with vibrant colour and patterns, creating a unique and viscerally eclectic experience for the viewer. Taking the element of chance, she combines, layers and juxtaposes shapes and patterns resulting in an unpredictable outcome. Her work is mainly process based and intuitive and her recent paintings toy with the dynamic interplay of organic and organized forms, complimentary and contrasting colour, repeated shapes, mark and void.
