Lopez-Barahona was born in Brisbane. She studied Fine Art at Queensland College of Art graduating with Honours in 2004.
She is driven to reference and propel the cannon of aesthetics as a contemporary artist. Liberated to use the medium and style which best articulates the concept rather the other way around.
The overarching theme of her work is the spiritual phenomena. Her landscapes discuss the majestic and sublime from a Christian perspective.
