Sevada Grigoryan is an internationally acclaimed Armenian artist celebrated for his unique style, seamlessly merging Armenian Medieval art with figurative compositions inspired by folk themes. Born in 1959 in the village of Karashen, Armenia, he graduated from Yerevan State Pedagogical University and further pursued his artistic journey through sculpture courses in Latvia. Sevada's artistry has transcended borders, gracing galleries and exhibitions worldwide, including the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Fine Arts in Kobe, Japan, where his painting "Madonna with the Child" was showcased among the top 100 artworks from 81 countries. In 2014, he embarked on an art residency in Nanjing, China, organized by Dongdong and Lulu Creative House, which opened doors to international exhibitions across China, at prestigious venues like the Datian Art Gallery in Shanghai, Jiashan Museum, and Beijing Art Museum. Sevada's works also found homes in esteemed private collections, including the Russian Embassy in Armenia, the UN Office of Armenia, and various private collections around the world. His art has transcended traditional canvases, appearing on T-shirts in collaboration with SINOIAN fashion brand. Beyond his prowess in painting, Sevada excels in Tai Chi, earning first place in an international competition in Nanjing, China, in 2017. Today, he continues to create captivating art in Armenia, with recent exhibitions at his alma mater and his hometown's national gallery in 2022. Sevada Grigoryan's legacy exemplifies the power of art to transcend boundaries, unite cultures, and inspire creativity on a global scale.
