Lithuanian artist Andrius Makarevicius uses bold brushstrokes and vivid colors to show the city life and its real face that is surrounding him. Andrius shows city romance, humour, architecture and the relantionship between urban structures, country history and human behaviour. As a main personas artist is using young men and women who are living in microdistricts, microraions, residential complexes and are spending their time enjoying each other company in various city places. Andrius also critisizes these characters showing the pigeons as their constant attendants, guards yet at some point showing these personas with pigeon heads. Artist Andrius Makarevicius goes deeply into microdisctrict people‘s lifestyles and their values, their understanding about world and the rules that they are following.
