Kathy Ready

‘Colour is the driving force behind all of my paintings. I love the fact that colour is so much more than just a visual experience; it is a unique and universal language that has the power to convey feelings, ideas and narratives and evoke a range of emotions’.

Kathy Ready is an Auckland based, abstract oil painter. She uses the language of colour to uplift our everyday experience and connect with people in a meaningful way. Her works are emotive, rich and expressive; adding a splash of colour and life into our living spaces.

Kathy has been exhibiting nationally and internationally since 1996. Her work is held in numerous private collections, she has been a finalist in a number of national awards; including the New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Award twice (2013, 2018), and was commissioned by Hilton, Queenstown for site specific work.
