Erica Choi

Erica Choi, born in 1993 in Seoul, Korea, is an artist whose work explores themes of memory, emotion, and the passage of time. A graduate of Kookmin University with a degree in Fine Arts, Choi meticulously reconstructs fragmented memories on canvas, transforming them into journeys of rediscovery and emotional resonance. Her signature style involves layering photographs to symbolize the accumulation of time, deconstructing and reconstructing these images with emotive colors to form shapes that represent enduring feelings.

Erica has held several solo exhibitions, including "PRESENT" at E-LAND Gallery and "The Way I Remember" at Gallery M in Seoul. Her work has also been featured in numerous art fairs and auctions, such as the Ulsan International Art Fair and BAMA at BEXCO, Busan. Through series like "Mountains: Always and Forever" and "Gift Series," Erica expresses personal connections to stability, love, and familial support. Incorporating traditional materials like mother-of-pearl to convey timeless love and strength, Erica's art seeks to preserve cherished memories while providing viewers with comfort and inspiration.
