Hello and thank you for looking at my Artwork. My name is Simon Slater. I have been painting regularly for eight years and find it extremely fun and relaxing, it is also a great outlet for my creativity. It is not easy to define the style of my artwork as i don't stick to one particular style. My Art is often a spontaneous explosion of Abstract Expressionism mixed with Experimental subconscious Creation. I live in the City of Glasgow and often take inspiration from the hustle and bustle of city life, I also loved to travel and explore places i have never seen before. The intensity of the colours and the breathtaking landscapes i have come across inspired me to encapsulate elements of this in my Art. I love experimenting with colours and i am constantly searching for new ways of applying paint to canvas. I am very pleased how my art has developed over the years purely by experimenting with the possibilities of paint and I look forward to progressing further as an Artist.
