I am a painter living in West Cornwall, in the United Kingdom. In my current work I have been exploring the still life genre. My work is meditive and contempalative. I am looking to convey the humble essence of simple everyday objects, while at the same time exploring colour, form and space. I am very interested by the possible parallels between an arrangment of objects, and abstraction . One of my artistic heroes is the Italian artist Giorgio Morandi, who famously said "nothing is more abstact than reality". I work in oil on a variety of surfaces, wooden panel, stretched linen and canvas.
