Mary Anne Stevens Herr is an American mixed-media conceptual artist based in Richmond, Virginia. Her paintings and drawings have been characterized as abstract expressive with loose brush marks that are vibrant and tell a story. Her work is observational but not always representational. Her video installations mimic her 2D work through expressive layers and stories. She finds inspiration in everyday moments, in nature, from music, and exploring memories of the spaces in-between. Originally from the gulf coast of FL, she's lived and worked in Atlanta, New York City, Richmond, Virginia and Manila, Philippines.
