Anita Ognjanovska is a full-time contemporary artist from Skopje, North Macedonia, whose artistic journey spans more than 15 years. She has held ten solo exhibitions in Macedonia, Croatia, and Denmark, and has participated in over 40 group shows across a wide range of countries, including Spain, Italy, Greece, Denmark, France, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Working primarily in abstraction and minimalism, Ognjanovska’s paintings are recognized for their layered textures, rich surfaces, and emotionally charged compositions. Her creative process blends spontaneity and intuition, often working on multiple canvases at once and using diverse materials such as oil, cold wax, acrylics, and mixed media. Her works invite viewers into a space of stillness and introspection, where colour, texture, and form merge to capture the fleeting beauty of everyday moments. Today, her art can be found in private collections around the world, reflecting a universal connection through emotion and visual language.
