Glass has been my visual vocabulary for almost 25 years as an artist I like to push the impossible to the possible this probably defines what I am about in my work and why I struggle with this material which is an ever ending combat . The subjects are often imbibed with the fragile material glass and its limitless possibilities, as well as its limit. education Fine artist ,Masters in Fine arts; Northumbria University Newcastle upon Tyne England . Bachelor of 3D Design honours glass and Ceramics, Sunderland University National glass centre England , I like to work across disciplines painting sculpture and photography .My work is inspired by the landscape in recent time the beautiful Drome region of France the threat of climate change and the fragility of this earth we humans inhabit and destroy.I work mostly with glass ,fusion which I have developed over twenty five years ;Glass is the material of many metaphors; fragility, protection ,breakability, sharpness and danger. Glass can be manipulated by heat deformed and moulded . Many of my glass sculptures are over twenty years hence a life of ideas and change being a mother having my daughters and husband moving cultures twice taking on a new language all have influenced my works
