Leslie Jean Porter

Hello! My name is Leslie Jean Porter and I am an artist working in Southern California. Throughout my life I have expressed myself through a variety of media, including film, photography and costume, but my current passion is painting.

After graduating from Bard College in New York, I began a whirlwind career across Europe. I worked with everyone from fashion designer Louis Feraud to renowned indie film director Robert Altman. In 1994, I was named Head of Acquisitions for Ciby 2000, a major film production company in France. During my time there, I worked closely with some of the greatest independent directors of this generation, including Robert Altman, David Lynch, Pedro Almodovar, and many more.

After leaving Ciby, I continued to work as a film producer for several years before settling down in Palm Springs, where I owned and operated my own art gallery. There I featured my art, as well as local artists' work. I also hosted all types of events at the gallery, from poetry readings to book signings to dance parties. I closed the gallery in June of 2021, and since then I've been selling my paintings online on Saatchi, as well as my personal website.
