Hello ! My passion for art has roots in my childhood in Poland when I used to watch my grandfather make puppets for his theatre. My artistic imagination developed through watching him create. I decided to pursue art at the secondary and university level education. I also organised many exhibitions in Poland, Belgium, and Canada. Someone once asked me why do I paint? I answered: Why do birds sing…? I feel the need to show what I see and how I see it. Why women’s portraits? What could be more interesting? I love to analyse faces; it always amazes me how small details can tell so much about what a person might think or feel. Landscape is a journey of a man lost somewhere between sky and water. I feel that I am a part of nature and nature is a part of me. My bas-reliefs are also an attempt of capturing nature's beauty. Abstract has always been something that attracted me as well. I feel an undefined need to create certain mental tension that evokes internal vibration in the viewer. Even though I started my journey with painting many years ago, every time I discover in it something new and it is always full of surprises. I hope to continue my passion and to share my feelings and experiences with you. I invite you to see my paintings. I hope you will enjoy them! Thank you for joining me on my journey, Syzym
