I was born 1972. Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts () at University of Art in Belgrade (Serbia, Europe) and have participated in numerous group shows across the Old Continent. I live in Toronto which is a great source of inspiration to me with its multiculturalism and diversity. "His paintings are mostly acrylic on canvas, and his signature work is large format with strong drawing as a base. In his abstract compositions, he is exploring the possibilities of heavily-layered impasto effects, textures and strokes. Alex's art is influenced by American abstract expressionism and European lyrical abstraction, Enformel, Art Brute and Pop Art. In his figurative compositions, Alex is rediscovering human body by means of line, texture, and form. He is using his background in anatomy drawings to unclothe, explore, and laud the flesh in order to unlock the ancient systems of mathematical ratios. When asked about his artistic statement, his usual response is: "I do not talk my art. If i wanted to say something, i would have said it."" Nikola Piperski, MA
