Eamonn Dowd is originally from rural west of Ireland, but spent most of his adult life in Dublin. He has been painting since childhood and has been involved in several exhibitions over the years. He has also designed record sleeves, and contributed illustrations for the music and fashion magazine D-SIDE. His paintings are mostly acrylic on canvas. He often deals with themes of an occult nature and personalized myth. Occasionally representational themes are taken on, yet all are presented in a primitive new expressionist style. He has exhibited in Ireland and Sweden.
