“ I’ve been drawing since I can remember, since I started calling the colour pink “beautiful pink”. When I was 4, I've won a drawing competition in a tourist village in France. The teacher was excited beyond my understanding about the drawing I just painted. For me, it was just a picture of sad blonde girl walking on really big cubes. It was just a dream from the night before so it was extremely natural to me to put it on the paper...” Clelia Catalano was born in Palermo (sicily) in 1985, after her high school diploma she left Palermo to go to London where she lived for about two years before coming back to Italy, to Florence, where she studied at the “International School of Comics” to become an illustrator. Meanwhile, Clelia began to paint her visions on canvas. The main character of her paintings lie between dream and reality. Her paintings capture people's attention and evoke their emotions. Eminent artists like Romeo Conte, director of TV and fashion shows, who wanted Clelia’s paintings for the “Finibus Terrae Film Festival 2011”. And Maurizio Lombardi, actor and director, who called Clelia to create scenes and customs in a famous theatre in Rome. Today, Clelia lives in Rome where she is still working in theatre art and continues painting her visions.
