visual artist born 23/8/53 Brisbane Australia. Fine Arts student Griffith University Brisbane. I paint figuratively exploring the female traits and connections to the animal world, how we interact with fellow humans, and the exotic while exploring the sensual use of oils and colour to my work . Currently researching self portrait with references to the baroque and the surreal.Investigating the self portrait based on the Dutch Still Masters using metaphors to relay the character of the person while distoring the notion of what is a self portrait.I am greatly inspired by what I see around me. What filters down in the media and the movies of the 1940'50's. Also I like transpose images of myself into my paintings as well as these become very biographical. Reworking narratives through photography which incorporates emotional branding of the human emotion. In 2011 have been invited to London Parallax Art Fair in October where my figurative self portraits will be shown.

Bachelor of Fine Art, major painting 2005-2009 Griffith University Brisbane, Queensland Australia.
