My name is Pietro Anceschi, born in Reggio Emilia in 1985. I'm a painter, engraver and street artist, graduate from “Istituto d’Arte G. Chierici” and from “Accademia di Belle Arti” in Bologna.

My career

Pietro receives prestigious commissions from his municipality, where he carries out important wall paintings in occasions like requalification of institutional buildings, and influential companies in his area.
November 2014 saw the launch of his first exhibition in collaboration with the “Biennale del Disegno” promoted by the city of Rimini, and since 2011 he displays his works at the annual exhibit “Fotografia Europea” which included him among the official artists of the event.

My work

His paintings stretches from Graffiti to Neoexpressionism, without neglecting further intuition. In the landscape he tries to polarize the perspectives, without twisting the foundations, but observing the world through deforming wide-angle lenses, still keeping the proportions appropriate and logical.
As an engraver, he mostly works with the etching technique, proving to be skillful at drawing and at handling the various engraving techniques.

I received my diploma from the Chierici Art Institute of Reggio Emilia, and earned my degree from the Acadamy of the Arts of Bologna.

He participated

in the Ant Work collective exhibit at the Spazio Gerra gallery in Reggio Emilia, summer of 2010,

in various impromptu painting events under the auspicies of the City of Reggio and the “Unità di Strada” association, from 2010 to 2011,

in the European Photography Festival of Reggio E, in 2010, with extensive display of paintings and considerable visitor approval at the “Viadeiduegobbi3” artists’ center

in the collective exhibit “24 Artists at Villa Verde”, prepared and
developed by Professor Giuseppe Berti, August 2011,

He took part in the regional exhibit “Le Vie Dell’Acqua”, organized by the
CGIL trade union in the city of Ravenna, April 2012,

and in July 2012, in the collective exhibit “Acqua Mater” in the
historical center of Reggio Emilia, an exhibit organized by Professor
Giuseppe Berti with the assistance of the “Flags no Flags” association.

That same month he donated a work to the “Art Quake” auction, the proceeds of which went to those who lost loved ones, homes or businesses in the Modena earthquake of June.

In November 2012 the Lombardini motor industry of Reggio Emilia
commissioned him do a painting to be displayed at the company’s 80-year anniversary celebration.
