Contact us.Anastasia Khudyakova is a contemporary figurative painter whose practice explores the meeting point of light, darkness, and human experience.
Working primarily in oil, she explores the relationship between light and darkness, physical presence and inner experience, using the human figure as a space for emotional and symbolic expression.
Her paintings often emerge from an interest in the moments when something invisible becomes perceptible — through a gesture, a gaze, a fragment of the body, or a sudden contrast of light. Rather than illustrating a specific narrative, Khudyakova creates emotionally charged spaces in which the viewer can encounter questions of identity, vulnerability, beauty, transformation, and the nature of human experience.
Her visual language combines figurative painting with elements of symbolism and a strong attention to light, atmosphere, and the material qualities of oil paint. She is interested in preserving a sense of mystery within the image, allowing different interpretations to coexist.
Anastasia Khudyakova's work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Moldova, including exhibitions at the Embassy of the United States and other cultural and art institutions. Her practice continues to develop through both independent studio work and exhibition projects.
