Mihaela Ionescu

I discovered art when I was a child. Painting made me feel happy and safe in a parallel world and I could never live separated any more.
My art is most influenced by music and films, by love and by circle of life finding the real expression of the human’s feelings.
As a romantic, expressionist painter, I dedicate my work to the colors and sounds of music. I start with an empty canvas and let the music inspire myself. From brightness to darkness, to the infinite tones of colors, I try to evoke the same feelings that I feel when I paint from the viewer. I work primarily with oils and give a spacial effect to the texture of the painting using the brush and the knife.
People can not live without art, artist are the connection between two worlds, they create from the silence of the mind a world to release the human's souls.
