Loredana Meo

Loredana Meo was born in Erice in 1973. She lives and works in Marsala. After studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, she began an artistic journey through figurative painting, inspired by the glorious past of Italian art, especially by the great Caravaggesque and naturalistic mastery, to the point of being defined as a "contemporary Caravaggist ".
Over time, maturing new expressive needs, the artist discovers "Photography", conceiving a new and evolutionary language, based on the idea of ​​"Concept - image - communication", thus, the photographic work becomes his imaginary vision, in which he combines his thought with the matrix of classical painting, while always maintaining the naturalistic style.
In the cycle of these works, the artist makes a careful introspective analysis of the inner ways of the soul, investigates the relationship between man and being, engaged in the singular search for the meaning of his own existence, stimulating self-exploration.
The man who is firm in individualism ends up closing in on himself, manifesting his inadequacies. The artist, following his conversion to the faith, understands the infinite value of the "Little I", because it is destined for eternal bliss.
