Oof. I was in the middle of this one when I discovered two of my roommates had been doing heroin for the previous several months. How's that for a "story"? Stephen Marts is a son of a bitch and a bastard. Suckled at the bosom of the rotting carcass of the great American Midwest during the early 1980s, he was born and took a BA in English Literature & Linguistics on the same street in Cincinnati, Ohio--not at the same time, however. No, during the intervening years the artist preoccupied himself mainly with masturbating and building model airplanes. His other talents include but are not limited to: hanging around derelict buildings; photography; illustration; graphic design; composition, arrangement, production, and performance of music; ontology, with particular respect to the philosophy of G.W.F. Hegel; and, of course, narcissistic self-involvement. The artist is available for childrens' parties and bar mitzvahs.
