About The Artwork
This pigments and binder drawing on paper was mad in 1985 in Düsseldorf as part of a creative process dealing with wrapping my life sized clay/metal/wood statues so they will not crack. The tension and opacity of the wrapping material on the figures became a series of drawings, oil paintings and photographs. The process of painting these was almost always accompanied by Gregorian chanting tapes I got from my friend and mentor Micheal Irmer
