This painting is inspired by the seductive relationship that we have to our technology and specifically with our cellphones. There is a hit of dopamine released in our brains every time we interact with the various applications on our phones and this fascinates me. It is not necessarily a negative relationship, but it can be interpreted that way. It is an addictive relationship, but rather than being negative or positive, I think of this painting as a record of the unique experience of people living in the world today.
