Painter, poet, novelist, and college teacher, Anthony Maulucci was born in Connecticut and has lived in Boston, Montreal, Toronto, and New York City. He has traveled widely and currently lives in Mexico. Disillusioned with corporate publishing and inspired by William Blake and Lawrence Ferlinghetti, he founded a small press to publish his poetry and literary fiction (see ).

I describe my work as figurative, modernistic, as soulful portraits and sensuous nudes. My ambitions as an artist have been fairly modest. I returned to painting after a hiatus of many years as a break from intense fiction and poetry writing. I believe I have forged my own style from the influence of de Chirico, Modigliani, Gauguin, and Matisse.
