I've been oil painting and making fine art photographs for most of my life. My paintings are a combination of reality and fantasy from the things I see every day that inspire me and give me a positive feeling. I believe that each painting should tell a story with the elements and brush strokes. They should have several levels of meaning that the owner can discover over their years of studying it on the wall. It should become like a personal friend. My photographs are different but similar statements. Most are Black and White shot on film and printed by me in the darkroom. The feeling a Black and White photograph gives is one of introspection and meditation. When you own an original photograph and have it on the wall it becomes a part of you. My photography subjects are things that have meaning to me.
