Sound of the form VII Print - Limited Edition of 7

I graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia in 1988 and in the same year I participated in a sculpture symposium in the village of Yasna Polyana, Bulgaria. I have participated in joint exhibitions and symposiums in Varna and Dortdrecht, the Netherlands. In 1990 I received the 3rd prize at the Sculpture Biennale in Toronto, Canada. From 1999 to 2011 I was a sculpture lecturer, together with Prof. Bozhidar Kozarev, at the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia. In 2023 I opened my first solo exhibition of sculpture at the Contrast Gallery, Sofia – “The Miraculous Emergence of Complex Spatial Forms”. Over the years I have been very deeply impressed by the world of forms, devoid of narrative and explanation, the strong impact of the sculptural form as a sound, as an inner harmony that radiates spatial and plastic power. Composing based on complex derivative spatial bodies, searching for plasticity as melody and rhythm, defined by the relationship between surface and plane.
