Here is the mill as an archetype of the world tree: perpetual motion, change of times, immortality, transformation. The mill is a symbol of self, a place of power where many become one. “The millstones of the Lord grind slowly but inexorably,” is a saying that has been around since ancient times. In the eternal cycle of being, everything vain will be destroyed and what is important will gain in importance. Interpretation of rebirth, world epochs, eternal movement of the world, cyclical change of times.

Painting fills my life with meaning and harmony. I work primarily in oil on canvas, using a combination of thick impasto and delicate glazes to create depth and luminosity in my work. I explor the theme of human identity and the search for self-discovery. Depending on my state of mind, I paint in lyrical-symbolism or exspressiv - inspired by the natural world’s beauty, history and mythology. My paintings celebrate color, form, and texture and meditate on the relationship between light, shadow, and atmosphere. They are a reflection of the struggles, triumphs, and ambiguities that are part of the human experience, and they are an invitation to the viewer to reflect on their own lives and experiences. I see art in everything - in clouds, how they change shape and colors depending on the weather, day or season, just like flowers and trees, whether they are there with blossoms and leaves or are waiting for spring in a relaxing sleep, in playing children, in an older woman who is picking yellow flowers in her garden, in an elderly person who is feeding the black cat with white spots next to the stairs from the blue plate, and maybe in you. Through my work, I hope to evoke a sense of wonder and awe and to invite the viewer to consider the beauty and complexity of the world around us.
