Yes, why would grown men and women play with paint alone in a room as if the essence of existence, life, passion, being alive in this universe could be expressed by that socio-cultural practice? While wars, starving millions, life, love pass them by.....?

Dave ShortlandJust because a painting is Abstract,doesn't mean it requires little or no effort to produce.They may,or may not have any meaning,but at least show some creativity in their execution.Too many Abstract paintings are just daubs or wallpaper,and rarely stimulate further investigation.
