This collage is made exclusively by my original drawings (graphite, coloured pencils, ballpoint pen, ecoline). The work should have had only my mother, for protagonist, but the case, the psychological dynamics and the evolution of this work have forced me to add my brother. I found a picture of him in the same position, roughly, and I thought this was an opportunity to do what I had in mind for some time: people meet at other times and places, choosing another story, healing wounds so that they never happened. So a 50s' girl and a 70s' child, mother and son, go biking together, playing together ... and their relationship may not be the same.

I'm interested in people, i like their stories, their thoughts, dreams, fears ... And I'm fascinated by what they wanted to be and to have and what they didn't obtain. I like to investigate in reality as much as in the subconscious but especially I love imagination: I'm sure that if you imagine something or someone for a long time, you make this "real" in some way. I immagine people and i would like them to exist, so I choose their features, aspirations, destiny. My works are not simple portraits: when I'm going to "tell a story" about somebody's life, whether real or imaginary, I want everything - past, present and future - to be seen in the same moment, as if it were a "mystical snapshot". That reminds me the oriental thought, that says time is an illusion.
