About The Artwork
‘INDISLUM’ People living next to a canal in the Patel Nagar slum, home to 25,000. The picture was taken by John Schubach to highlight the plight of young Indians for the charity http://www.squalortoscholar.org John kindly gave me permission to use it in my 3D collage illusion. To create the right effect I sloped the water backwards and all the details of the buildings, washing etc are all cut out and set in relief. Housed in a 92 X 53 X 14 Perspex case.
