With some nuances and notable differences, this theme remains current, in that it deals with eternal feelings: seduction, desire, temptation and repression. In all modesty, and without any pretension, I tried to transpose it to the 21st century. In a timeless architecture, a series of corridors and bare rooms, I have preserved the era and the stature of the Saint as if to express this continuity in time. In the foreground, under a photo of a feminine nude, it is a beautiful voluptuous young woman who embodies temptation, she is turned towards Saint-Antoine who, tortured, desperately tries to depend on her charm and to repress the very legitimate feeling who runs through him. Does He ignore the subject of a hidden painting that can be assumed indifferently to have the same lasciviousness as the foreground photo? or rigorous and conducive to meditation? Here lies the key to the problem ... The dimensions indicated are that of the collage itself, but it is in fact mounted on a black cardboard of dimensions 11.6x8.3 inches .
