In "Mariacarla" the magnetic allure of Mariacarla Boscono's penetrating eyes merges seamlessly with a vibrant tapestry of dahlias, each petal intricately woven to envelop her gaze in a kaleidoscope of color. The canvas is filled with vibrant shades of true red, alluring apricots, and magnetic magentas. Inspired by the expressive strokes found in František Kupka's avant-garde masterpiece, "Mme Kupka between Verticals" (1911), the gestural strokes and playful doodles dance across the composition, adding an electrifying energy to the piece. Dahlias, historically associated with sentiments of inner strength and enduring grace, symbolize resilience and beauty that flourish even under the most intense scrutiny. The artwork combines different types of brush strokes and vertical water drips to create a shift from (sur)realism to expressionist abstraction. The color palette is intentionally vibrant, bold, and unstable. The combination of strength and beauty portrayed through the use of dahlias and the energetic brush strokes aims to inspire viewers and remind them of the resilience that exists within themselves.

Romeo Madonna (London, 1987) is a collage artist based in Florence where he currently lives and works. A self-taught visual artist, collage - both digital and analog - represents his favorite means of expression, the investigative method of his research and the synthesis of the philosophy underlying his artistic practice. A film student at the Roma Tre University with the aim of becoming a screenwriter, he attended the Accademia di Belle Arti because he was obsessed with engraving and printing techniques. His professional experiences in the field of mixology and luxury retail contributed significantly to defining the traits and themes of his artistic identity, fusing a digital approach with traditional techniques.
