About The Artwork

What inspired the work - Continuation! Who inspired the work - An Expectation of Service. An Expectation which deep down believed I should not have a life of my own and trapped the next generation to believe in the same? The Thought behind it all - Ownership? Things finally got to the point which created a need for there to be another moving out day! Having lived intensely by this point under the effect of the collection of behaviors known as - Stalking - and the anonymity of one - who may have eventually made their entrance? The Feeling - Is of relief Finally getting out from a time which restricted the ability to earn. It is hard to pin point the need of the central character to suddenly appear? Carrying the box to the van - It was a day of Very Dense. Very Resistant Energy. It was like being invisibly held down by something external. There was a feeling of a grip of an intention. Something does not want you to leave. But has absolutely no good intention in wanting you to stay! So much resistance! Considering this is what was a necessary - needed - desired and wanted improvement to life! What I observed instantly as the two women came walking past me. If felt like they were trying to hide their inquisitive stares. As I loaded my belonging into the van. There was a strange like the fear of someone who did not want to be recognised. Making a quick turn away. With the quickest glance from under a corduroy hat! Maybe due to a made appointment with the best intentions. But could never be honoured. It remains a conundrum when you find yourself to have accepted a responsibility that eventually rejects. Disrespect. Hurts who you love. It an unfortunate for the young. Innocent. who may have become confused. Because they may have not been told the truth. One who takes the other for granted. Getting out from under one of the most oppressive phases of living in a Social Housing Condition! Life goes onto to become a subject. The lifelong gratitude was the opportunity to be able to get out! The Continuation! It is done! Find somebody much better If you know where somebody is going to be Whose has not been in contact with you! Yet you can still turn up there? Two people can be put through the cruellest of hardship But it ought not to mean Or automatically become the assumed right of one To consistently try to restrict Or continual monitor The other! It almost feels like the choice of subject matter is the completion of a history. The end of a real-life story tale. The possibility of the deliberate creation Of a possible mystery. To deliberately entrap somebody Narcissistically. As from the driver seat of a cab. Unnecessary Gesticulations Seem like a very strange act!

Born in London. From kitchen table top, to connecting to the market place creating a hub of creativity. I have had the opportunity and privilege to live and experience many different area's in England and addresses in and around London, living in different social conditions, with a different set of challenges and joy's at each location. These experiences continue to be the biggest influence and inspiration for my work to date, inspiring imaginative impressions, which translate into expressions of fictional characters, and decorative designs. Whilst I did attend formal schooling, I did manage to achieve leaving secondary schooling without qualifications. Later gaining qualifications by investing in vocational training. I initially took up sketching to help me with clothes design, attending a local community college, it was a cheaper option as a young parent at the time. I come from a background of naturally creative people, where things like clothes were made without patterns, or any prior preparation for design. It was a time of instinctive survival, with a jump in and get it done way of living and thinking, learn on the go type of attitude toward life. Writing poetry plays the role of being my first point of creativity, it is a combination of free flow journal writing, "free flow" is a method of unblocking personal expression. Examples of this is the pen sketch and textile remnant journals, where poetry, meaningful sayings, and short messages meet. Expressing myself through writing journals, poetry, and even finding a way of writing threw creating an image, led me to explore painting as a further means of deeper self expression, exploration and release. What emerged is a spontaneous method of painting, composition admittedly is not a study in every piece initially, but emerges in the form of allowing a subject to develop in a space, in whatever form or position it takes. Coming from the era where Art was not seen as a proper job, taking that notion on - for a long time. I struggled to come terms with art as anything other than frivolity, despite being a creative. To understand my work further; The experience behind the creative process. Throughout my life as a child to present day I have been effected by the collection of behaviours known as Stalking. As a child and teen I witnessed others experiences.
