About The Artwork
This piece is called "Boredom" because it embodies my muse getting bored while modeling for me. He didn't feel like modeling, so sat like this instead of putting effort into his pose. I subsequently enjoyed the pose more than his usually positions and proceeded to draw him in detail. The piece is completed with thinly applied layers of colored pencil. I have used his hair to frame his face in a decorative, unfinished way. I left the piece unfinished to draw more attention to the negative spaces around his hand, arm and face. This piece was exhibited at The Loft Gallery main exhibition in April 2019, and is my submission for the Luxemburg Art Prize, thus the original is currently not for sale.

I was a resident artist at The Loft Gallery & Studios, San Pedro, CA until Covid-19 lock down. I have been working as an artist since before graduating high school, but my love of fine art painting began in 1991 at Long Road College, Cambridge, UK, under the direction of painter Andy Crocker, my inspiration. I currently work as an artist & designer creating design, concept art, animation, illustration and art commissions for clients across industries to include: Kids, Toys & Collectibles, Food, Health, Music & Entertainment.
