Džozef Bosch is a Contemporary artist whose practice incorporates traditional painting techniques (oil and acrylics) to create neo-expressionist artworks that show influences from Picasso, Basquiat and De Kooning. His photography and digital work is influenced by Ray Man and Salvador Dalí with a flair for the surrealistic and dreamlike effects that captivate collectors worldwide. Džozef was born in Dominican Republic in 1962 and he later moved to New York in 1984, where he continued his Fine Art Studies at New York School of Visual Arts. Also taking classes at his favorite museums and absorbing the amazing Art scene of the 80’s in NYC. Artist statement: Like many artists before me, I subscribe to a multidisciplinary approach to art-making. I refused to be labeled or categorized. My job is to create using anything that inspires me and transforming it into whatever it turns out to be. At the end of the day, "what is art and what is not?" asked Picasso. On Saatchi you will find Džozef's limited editions prints as well as some paintings. Questions on any artwork availability should be directed to curator@saatchiart.com
