About The Artwork

Behind the Scenes of Freedom! Being invited into a room where crack was imminently smoked, and like a twit I accepted, and immediately left! It was years later I wondered if it was part of a bigger plot? I wondered if this was how people who try to help people get off the drug, get hooked? It does not bear thinking about, or doing! It was a bad relationship I am so grateful I never used, or became hooked! Once you are so manipulated! It is only to save yourself, and get out of such a relationship Or to be realistic - start going through the process it takes to finally leave. Despite those who do not respect how much you gave, to have been there in the first place! It took lie A grip so tight I explained why - I had to leave It was not accepted It seemed unacceptable for me not to want to stay I then lied, and said I may return To appease the person, and situation Knowing, I never wanted to return Or as a woman be forced to live in the false hierachy As a woman A man could never be faithful too That imminent conversation I understand It was so upsetting To be preferred Till I could not be heard I lied the safest lie To be free! Something move me from the room filled with Crack A Glass House Monologue! What keeps you in that? A child less woman Does not understand a mommy looking out for her baby? Kindness, consideration, an understanding between women Has to be broken So to be free! Understandably she is young, and hurt Threatens - you are not allowed to leave! People should not be allowed to leave! She is good Good with money Despite difficulties had made the most of herself with her money Somewhere she has experienced the “princess’ narrative Referring to a form of privilege, not an easy life but something? To the point of possessiveness? Which is able to create - for someone else, a level interference, and powerlessness? I want to get my life back It has gone way, way, way off track “Life back, please!” “I never intended any of this!” “I became convinced in the fix it-sodden in my own defiance, and ignorance!” “I am supposed to be happily working out my pension!” Believed it! When he said he wanted to change it Did not know at first that the heartless can feel a conscience, during a high on chemicals, allowing them to say anything believable. An addiction Once it has you It always has you Either trying to recover from it Somebody who made you watch them substance take Or by trying not to buy Whatever is needed to become altered as a result of it! Addiction is an action It is a verb The acquiring of the substance The need for evidence of the growing manufacturing, distribution, and destruction of the substance is at the heart of almost every economy. It creates small bosses that appear to become big players. It can be the road to redemption And the division between victim, and real men, and women Survivors Able to see and understand the disbelievers The survivor who understands They were well in the first place They already had a conscience! They never needed a substance They were already love! They did not constantly need to be reduced to a sexual object Take what is precious. Tender. Unique Always to be highly maintained and respected Regardless of whose sexual advances! Regardless of business alliances! Behind the Scenes of Freedom! The Medium means two things to me The Medium is the Pencil The Medium is also the depiction of the past The subject matter is also Behind the Scenes of Freedom! (To be told - You are not allowed to leave!) The Style is the variety The Variety the use of a split scenes offers The amalgamation Of many Many years! The depiction of the most detrimental years of my life After leaving the back drop of incest, and other abuses Since the late 90's I have moved twice Visual intimidation was not only having someone put a ladder in my private space But, also when I attempted to use a miniature key ring security camera, which I put on a hook in my hallway There was a scene of visual intimidation "We pull out the chip!" Anybody! Anybody, in this life! Can do anything bad to you! Anything! Any Abuse! Anything! Anything, bad to you! Yet during your life! Your life as the individual, that you are! Regardless of what is done. It is yours! You're everlasting personal – individual responsibility! To pick yourself up, and overcome whatever it is! Regardless, of anybody else’s part! Regardless, of anybody else's responsibility! In whatever abuses were carried out! Or that remain ongoing! No matter whatever was done to you! You! And only you are alone! Are responsible for getting over, overcoming Everything, and everyone! It has been to date an incredibly long, and arduous journey for us as black people to overcome the imprint of violence, and abuse from slavery! On each, and every level! As individuals It is not just about black history It is human race history! For the years of black skinned people slavery! I am not white. But come from a mixed background. Who may look white? But who is not always necessarily white! Yet the exact same prejudice can abound all the same. Racial prejudices. Being picked out, and picked on, because if the variation of skin tone. For a good amount a time it has made sense.....that if as a people we have been so oppressed. Literally. Mentally. Spiritually. Emotionally. Sexually. Male. Female. Equally. Beaten down. Then shouldn’t that mean we should never be the people to ever tell each other we cannot leave? That people do not have a right to leave? Considering women! Have been held back, held down financially. From equal pay, to mention but one of many things of a list things, and obstacles women face regardless of something as simple, as the colour tone of their skin! For some women any one of their attempts toward financial freedom from domestic jobs of low, and no pay! Then, as women there should never ever be another woman to stand in another’s way? Which means when any of us do! Something else is more than out of context! There is something within us as individuals that has become been misaligned! Because the very obvious lines of cause, and effect appear to have become trivialised, and lost even, in the of world change? The variations of enslavement? Though not as violent Or visually as violent An underlying form of intimidation! BEHIND THE SCENES OF FREEDOM NATURAL FLOWISM A FREEDOM OF BEING!

Born in London. From kitchen table top, to connecting to the market place creating a hub of creativity. I have had the opportunity and privilege to live and experience many different area's in England and addresses in and around London, living in different social conditions, with a different set of challenges and joy's at each location. These experiences continue to be the biggest influence and inspiration for my work to date, inspiring imaginative impressions, which translate into expressions of fictional characters, and decorative designs. Whilst I did attend formal schooling, I did manage to achieve leaving secondary schooling without qualifications. Later gaining qualifications by investing in vocational training. I initially took up sketching to help me with clothes design, attending a local community college, it was a cheaper option as a young parent at the time. I come from a background of naturally creative people, where things like clothes were made without patterns, or any prior preparation for design. It was a time of instinctive survival, with a jump in and get it done way of living and thinking, learn on the go type of attitude toward life. Writing poetry plays the role of being my first point of creativity, it is a combination of free flow journal writing, "free flow" is a method of unblocking personal expression. Examples of this is the pen sketch and textile remnant journals, where poetry, meaningful sayings, and short messages meet. Expressing myself through writing journals, poetry, and even finding a way of writing threw creating an image, led me to explore painting as a further means of deeper self expression, exploration and release. What emerged is a spontaneous method of painting, composition admittedly is not a study in every piece initially, but emerges in the form of allowing a subject to develop in a space, in whatever form or position it takes. Coming from the era where Art was not seen as a proper job, taking that notion on - for a long time. I struggled to come terms with art as anything other than frivolity, despite being a creative. To understand my work further; The experience behind the creative process. Throughout my life as a child to present day I have been effected by the collection of behaviours known as Stalking. As a child and teen I witnessed others experiences.
