About The Artwork
I remember while I drew this, I thought about really focusing on every detail of my face. Most artists I see take out the unnecessary details like wrinkles or lines that the face develops over time (i.e. smile lines, frown lines, crows feet etc.) Granted certain things like nostrils aren't present in this portrait, but those were not in my interest. I wasn't too happy with this result, but looking at it now it's very clear what I was trying to establish.
