Stella Jean Drawing

Tonka's love of drawing developed at an early age, she possessed a passion for the arts, eventually studying Stone Sculpture, through which she realised shape, volume and surface. Sculpture was not to be her chosen path, however. In 2015 after 15 years she is dusting off her drawing skills and enjoying her artistic urge by picking up her pencil and coming back to figurative drawings, portraits, sketching, exploring and experimenting with watercolour and oil paints for the first time. Tonka loves fashion, reads fashion magazines, loves the women featured and sees styling clothes fascinating, therefore her primary source of inspiration for her paintings are women. Her artwork "Past to Present" has been chosen and featured in the Spotlight on London Collection by the Saatchi Art curation team.
