Digital drawing. – "Chart of the 10,000 Things" is part of a series called "The 10,000 Things / Read the signs" which aims at depicting the process of reading the sacred signs in the skies (of ancient China) by the most advanced Daoist Masters in order to help the people/the state in crisis. The Dao generates Oneness. Oneness generates Twoness. Twoness generates Threeness. Threeness generates the ten thousand things. (Laozi 42; transl. by H.-G. Moeller) The ten thousand things have ten thousand different forms, but in the final analysis they are one. How did they become one? Because of nonbeing. Through nonbeing one reaches oneness.
